Preparing For Elite Private Schools

The SSAT and ISEE can make all the difference when applying to competitive high school programs. For many students, the SSAT and ISEE mark their first encounter with high-stakes, standardized exams that can have lasting effects on their academic careers. Still further, many students are unaccustomed to being challenged in the ways that the SSAT and ISEE will challenge them.

Our tutors have the test-taking, teaching, and communication skills to help any student achieve their potential, learning critical test-taking and academic skills along the way.
We source the highest-quality practice materials and use each student’s mock test to create a custom plan that targets their needs.

What is the ISEE Test?

The ISEE (Independent School Entrance Examination) is a standardized assessment developed by the Educational Records Bureau (ERB) and used for admissions to private/independent schools. The ISEE scores are used as one piece of the overall student profile for application consideration. The ISEE measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, reading comprehension, and mathematics achievements.

There are different levels to this assessment based on where you are in your education:

- Primary Level (entering Grades 2-4)
- Lower Level (entering Grades 5 and 6)
- Middle Level (entering Grades 7 and 8)
- Upper Level (entering Grades 9-12).

What is the SSAT?

The Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) is a standardized test used for admission to a private or independent school, including most boarding schools. The exam measures verbal, math, and reading skills needed for success in an independent school and is a tool used to compare applicants regardless of background or experience.

The SSAT exam has different levels depending on which grade you are entering:

- Elementary Level (entering grades 4-5)
- Middle Level (entering grades 6-8)
- Upper Level (entering grades 9-12)

Customer Testimonials

A

We could not have been happier with the tutoring my son received for the ISEE (secondary school entrance exam). His tutor Ian was outstanding. He was everything you look for in a teacher – patient, a fantastic educator, great communicator and knowledgeable. He connected well with my son who thought he was amazing and looked forward to each session. We will absolutely be back for SAT tutoring in a few years. Could not recommend them more highly!
